In the second quarter, our goals are to continue bonding with the grade 9 students, establish some new goals for first semester success and encourage students to use all resources available for being successful at Foothill!

FIRE - No Travel

Tuesday, 1/24 - Period 7 Final 1:30-3:30
Wednesday, 1/25 - Periods 1 and 2 Finals, Dismissal 12:55
Thursday, 1/26 - Periods 3 and 4 Finals, Dismissal 12:55
Friday, 1/27 - Periods 5 and 6 Finals, Dismissal 12:55
Monday, 1/30 - NO SCHOOL - Non-student Day
Tuesday, 1/31 - Semester 2 Begins

    • NOTE: Information Meetings for Special Programs and Electives begin this week on 1/5
    • A flyer will be distributed during period 4 tomorrow (1/4/23)

      • Part 1 Application available at 2 p.m. on 1/11
      • Part 1 Application due by 9 p.m. on 1/17
      • Support Meetings at FIRE on 1/12, 1/13, 1/18, 1/19, and 1/20
      • Part 2 Application(s) due by 9 p.m. on 1/22
  • Use FTHS agendas to begin planning how to spend the advisory this week

  • Sit together in FIRE zone
  • Put phones away
  • Take attendance
  • Agendas out and ready to write/share plan for the week
  • Set up for in-room work or sign out for appropriate travel
    • Students should have a written goal for traveling
    • This is a "why I need to travel" statement
  • Leader(s) sit with students and connect/work alongside
    • Once everyone is set, leader should check on travelers

  • Dtech (not taking applications this year - wait for next year)
  • Grafx Q & A - no presentation ( G 104 with Crouch )
  • Journalism Q & A ( I 107 with Li )
  • Math AP Q & A regarding what to take after Math 3 or Math 3 H
  • Spanish Q & A - no presentation ( H 107 with Ortiz )

  • If you have paper plates, you could do the drawing on the top of the head (similar to baby shower game)
